# Keyboard Shortcuts

# Keyboard Shortcuts

Pentagon is designed to be keyboard-driven. These shortcuts work globally when Pentagon is in the foreground.

## Navigation

| Shortcut        | Action                |
| --------------- | --------------------- |
| `Cmd+0`         | Go to home (Today)    |
| `Cmd+1`–`Cmd+9` | Switch to map tab 1–9 |
| `Cmd+,`         | Open settings         |
| `Cmd+.`         | Edit map name         |
| `Cmd+N`         | Create new map        |

## Layout

| Shortcut | Action             |
| -------- | ------------------ |
| `Cmd+B`  | Toggle sidebar     |
| `Cmd+E`  | Toggle canvas      |
| `Cmd+J`  | Toggle right panel |

## Agents

| Shortcut | Action                                                             |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `Cmd+L`  | Focus chat input for selected agent                                |
| `Cmd+F`  | Search within chat — highlights matches and cycles through results |
| `Cmd+R`  | Terminate selected agent                                           |

## Canvas

| Shortcut     | Action                                                |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| `Shift+drag` | Draw a team region on the canvas                      |
| `Escape`     | Cancel current action (team draw, clone confirmation) |

## Tips

* Most shortcuts toggle their respective panels — press once to show, press again to hide
* Map-tab shortcuts (`Cmd+1`–`Cmd+9`) are positional: `Cmd+1` is always the first map open in your tabs, not a specific named map
