Tasks & Progress

Agents maintain their own task lists — structured work items that show what’s done, what’s in progress, and what’s next. Task progress is visible directly on the spatial canvas.

How tasks work

Each agent can have a task list with items that track:
FieldWhat it means
TitleShort description of the task
StatusBacklog, In Progress, Review, or Done
PriorityLow, Medium, High, or Critical
DescriptionDetailed notes about what needs to happen
Agents create and update their own tasks as they work. When you give an agent a goal, it breaks the work down into tasks and progresses through them autonomously.

Progress on the canvas

When an agent has tasks, its node on the canvas shows a progress count — for example, 3/7 means 3 tasks complete out of 7 total. This lets you scan the canvas and immediately see which agents are making progress.

Assigning tasks

Give agents work through conversation — tell the agent what to do in chat, and it creates its own task list to track the work. Most users prefer this approach: give the agent a goal, and let it break it down into tasks itself.
The task board is currently read-only in the app. You can view an agent’s tasks in the detail panel, but adding or editing tasks through the UI is not yet supported. Manage tasks by talking to your agents.

Next: Status Reports

Each agent maintains a live status report. See what they’re doing without asking.
