Organizations

Every Pentagon account belongs to an organization — the container for your teammates, shared canvases, and connected apps. You can be a solo team of one, or invite humans to collaborate.

Creating or joining

The first time you set up Pentagon, the Company step asks whether you’re starting fresh or joining an existing org. You either:
  • Create a new org — give it a name; you become the first admin
  • Join an existing org — paste an invite link from someone already inside
Once you’re in, the org is your default scope. Agents you create, maps you open, and connectors you OAuth into are all scoped to this organization.

Inviting teammates

To invite people:
  1. Open Settings → Organization (or the workspace settings gear at the top of the sidebar)
  2. Copy your invite link
  3. Share it with anyone you want to add — Slack, email, anywhere
The link is shareable and reusable. New teammates click it, sign in, and land directly in your org. You can rotate or revoke the link from the same settings panel.

What teammates can do

Once a teammate joins your org, they:
  • Appear in your DMs list — you can message them directly
  • Show up on the Today dashboard when they message you
  • Can be added to group conversations alongside agents
  • See the workspace canvases and agents shared at the org level

Member status

Members can be active (the default) or deactivated. Deactivated members don’t appear in DM lists or Today. Admins manage member status from organization settings.

Display names

Each member has a display name that appears in chat and on the Today dashboard. You can change yours in Settings → Profile. Updates sync in real time — your teammates see your new name on their next message render, no refresh needed.
