Today

Today is Pentagon’s home screen. When you open the app or click the Pentagon logo in the sidebar, you land here. It’s a single view of what’s moved in your workspace recently — without you having to click into every conversation.

What you see

Today surfaces real activity over the last 7 days:
  • Agents that have been working — sorted by recency, so the most-recently-active agent is on top.
  • Teammates who messaged you — humans in your organization who sent you a DM (outbound messages don’t count — only when someone actually replies).
  • Connected apps — the apps your agents have access to, shown as brand logos. A reminder of what your team can reach.
If a section is empty (no recent agent activity, no inbound DMs, no connected apps), it shows an action to fix it — “Create an agent,” “Invite teammates,” “Connect apps.”

When activity counts

Today is intentionally strict about what shows up:
  • An agent appears only when it actually did something in the last 7 days, not just because it exists.
  • A teammate appears only when they sent you a message — pinging someone who never replied doesn’t pull them onto your dashboard.
  • System or background agents don’t appear in the “agents” list.
The goal is signal, not inventory. If you want to see every agent (active or not), open the canvas.

Quick actions

From Today you can:
  • Click an agent to open its chat directly
  • Click a teammate to open the DM
  • Click a connected app to manage its connection in settings
  • Use any of the empty-state CTAs to add what’s missing
